Bridget's Ranting Again....(sigh)

Hello friends, you know there should be a mandatory class before MEN are allowed to marry, I'm telling you especially when it come's to them marring women who already have children. Really.
I have a few friends and myself ,who have men in our lives that though they knew before they marry us that we have other children(it's not like we hid them in the closet and said SURPRISE after the wedding!). After we have their child they think we shouldn't love our first ones as much or at all.
Or that those children mean less to us, as if we won't tear the skin off someone who hurts them just because we have kids by them now. Really?! Do they forget that all these children came out of our body's and really the sperm that made them isn't the point?
Or that it matters not how old our 'older' children are- I could be fifty-nine and Veronica forty(we're not that old) and I will still be her mother, I will still kill for her, I will still love her with all my heart? That there isn't an age limit on a mothers love.
And don't say men can't live with them can't live without them, cause I'm thinking a good vibrator takes the place of most men!
I know I'm ranting but my friend is hurting and so I'm trying to be supportive of her and don't want to get all nasty with her 'man' so I'm doing it here.
Not that I hate men or anything, I just think most are dogs and you have to find the ones who are more puppy than dog, then house train them.
I can see some of you laughing(YDG, Jill) and some of you saying "what happened to her, she use to be so nice".
I am nice until you piss me off. Haven't you figured that out yet? This is not my first rant!

I am not saying all men are like this, I had a pretty good step-dad, though he didn't have his own kids and honestly me being his first daughter wasn't easy I'm sure, but he too needed lessons.
And I'm not saying that step dads shouldn't be involved, but know your place man! And wait to be asked.

OK a word from my sane side, Autism Awareness month is here, everyone knows someone who's family has been affected by it, if you don't you do now. One of my son's have it. Thank goodness Autism is more out front than it was twenty years ago when I first found out my son had it, back then of course it was the mothers fault.
Please stop by www.cafepress.com and buy a t-shirt, I did. Support the research and camps this place does.

And I do know what it's like to have a child like this, not always easy, lot's of tears and guilt. There are blessings too. If you need support along the way or just need to vent Woman to Woman is there for you too.
    Until we meet again.......

I guess I might be one of the lucky ones. My hubby embraced all 5 of my children. (yes I said 5) and has 10 years later treated them all with nothing but love and kindness.

We are both members of World Bloggers and I saw your post in the GFC followers. I no longer use it but, I am following through Linky Followers. http://www.scatteredmusings..net stop by and follow if you find it interesting :)

Thanks
Debbie

Excellent vent, Natalie and I couldn't agree more! Your children will always be your children, no matter what their age. x

I don't mean to be sexist but they bring it on themselves, they really do. I don't have kids but all children should be loved equally whether it's adopted, fostered or someone else's! :)

TBH, I think men need to learn their place in all sorts of areas, including parenting. Not that I am a hater or anything. My daughter's father didn't have children when we met and he is my son's only father. Then the girl came along. He treats them all the same. He includes them all in whatever activity and sees no biology. I, on the other hand, have no bones about his fathering capacity. He is a great dad to both my son and our daughter and my niece who tags along everywhere we go. I always told him he is such a good mami.
